American Revolutionary War Officer's Sword with brass hild and 34-inch single fuller blade. The blade is of a much earlier French manufacture. It is etched on both sides with an elaborate (but worn and largely indiscerible) featuring several Fleur-de-Lys and separate radiant sun like faces as well as he world "Vie Le Roi" Indicating a probable Louis XIV (1643-1715) Origin. The hilt featured a bone horn/ ivory grip, a brass ball pommel, and a brass openwork guard. The blade is blade is said to have lost it's temper and will not flex.
