White cotton eyelet dress, short sleeved. This was Florence Winter's graduation dress which she wore in 1911 when she graduated from grade school. It is 43"long, 22" around the waist, and 88" around the hem. The bodice is of eyelet with raglan sleeves and a square neckling front and back. The back closure from the neck to below the waist is fastened with small mother-of-pearl buttons, 5/8" diam. Where the bodice and skirt are joined a band of eyelet edging 2 1/4" wide was stitched in place. The same edging is on the sleeve. Below this band the skirt has radiating small pleats (20 of them spaced at intervals) that go half-way down the dress. The lower 10" of the dress have the same eyelet patern that forms the bodice. The condition of the dress is good, showing only a small brown discoloraion at the back mid-way down the skirt.
